Domestic and family violence are serious issues that can have a profound impact on individuals and families. At Ann Legal, we are dedicated to providing compassionate and effective legal solutions to help victims of domestic and family violence find safety and security under family law.

Our experienced lawyers can assist you with navigating the family court system, and help you and your child start a new life free from abuse. We understand that domestic and family violence can be a difficult and traumatic experience, and we approach every matter with empathy and understanding.

Under the Family Law Act 1975, family violence is defined as behaviour by a person towards a family member or a child that is physically or sexually abusive, emotionally or psychologically abusive, economically abusive, threatening, coercive or in any other way controls or dominates the family member or the child and causes them to feel fear for their own or another person’s safety or wellbeing. This legislation recognises the serious impact that violence and abuse can have on individuals and families, and provides a range of remedies to help protect those affected.

Our experienced lawyers can help you apply for urgent parenting or property orders, which can provide protection to you and your children. We can also guide you on the available legal options and seek injunctions for your and your child's protection, depending on the specific circumstances of your case.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic or family violence, it's important to remember that you are not alone. Help is available, and you deserve to live a life free from fear and violence. Contact us today to schedule a consultation and learn more about how we can help you find safety and security under the family law.
